COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

ENHANCE respects your privacy and takes data protection very seriously. This privacy policy outlines the information we will collect and how we will use it. By using the website and communicating with us electronically, you consent to the terms of this privacy policy. The processing of personal data shall always be in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

When you visit enhanceh2020.eu, we will not collect any personally identifiable information about you (such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily. The latter is applicable in two cases:

  • Subscribing to our newsletter. If you want to receive our newsletter, you are required to provide your email address. We use Mailchimp to produce our newsletters, find its privacy statement at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.
  • Contacting us. In order for us to be able to contact you back, we ask you to provide your name and email address while filling in a contact form.

USE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We collect data to allow you to use our services (such as tracing, communicating and managing your newsletter subscription), to improve our website, and to contact you uniquely regarding ENHANCE issues. Your data will be kept private and held securely by the Coordinator of the project, and will be deleted within one year from the end of the project (January 31, 2023). We do not distribute, sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personally identifiable information that you have shared in any capacity, online or offline to any outside entity. We may share your data with governmental agencies only if we are under a legal obligation to do so. Your email will be retained until you opt out, using the steps outlined in the next section. Project Manager is responsible for making decisions about the processing of personal data on the website. The legal basis for such data collection is consent, given by the Agreement to sign up for the newsletter and/or by contacting us. The information exchange in case of contacting us will be archived in the document management system 360°, for which only the Coordinator of the project is responsible and has access to.

CONTACTING US REGARDING YOUR PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

You have the right to have access to the data that is collected and to correct any mistakes, and to ask for the deletion of any personal information or that we limit the collection of data about your use of the services and to protest against the data collection. If you have submitted personally identifiable information through this website, or if someone else has submitted your personally identifiable information through this website, and you would like to have that information corrected or deleted from our database, please, contact ENHANCE Project Manager via info@enhanceh2020.eu. We will conduct the necessary efforts to remove your personally identifiable information from our files. You may also click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email sent by us. Moreover, if you are of the opinion that the collection of this data is a violation of your privacy, you can lodge a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Agency by asking our Data Protection Officer at personvernombud@usn.no for more information.

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

We collect some information about users that is not personally identifiable. The legal basis for such data collection is the Agreement to use cookies. We use cookies and Google Analytics to broadly track the movement of users on this website. The website is hosted on WordPress, which sets “cookies”. A cookie is a small amount of data that a web browser stores on a user’s machine. By continuing to use this site, you consent to our use of cookies. However, it is usually possible to prevent your browser from accepting cookies altogether or from a particular website. ENHANCE collects information through Automatic Data Collection Technologies. The website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service, to gather certain information, such as: how many users visit our site, how long they stay, what pages are visited, and what countries users are from. The data collected are stored in aggregate and are not traceable back to an individual. This information allows us to tailor our website to better meet your needs.
