University of South-Eastern Norway (USN) has a strong focus on research and development. Our strongest research environments are organized into groups and centers that reflect our commercial profile and practical approach to research. Among these may be mentioned a science center for health and technology, research groups for climate change and alpine ecosystems, for energy and CO2 capture, and TARG – which develops tools, methods, and solutions for improved performance and safety in the maritime and process industries. USN was established as a university on the 4th of May 2018, after Buskerud and Vestfold University College merged with Telemark University College. We are approximately 18,000 students and 1,600 staff, spread over eight campuses in South-Eastern Norway. With the wide range of studies, USN aims to have a regional foundation, and with eight campuses, we have a strong and clear presence in one of Norway’s most exciting and dynamic regions.

In 1823 a small institution was founded that was to revolutionize education in Liverpool and provide opportunities for the working people of the city. This small, pioneering movement was followed by the establishment of the Liverpool Institute and School of Art and the Liverpool Nautical College, and in 1900 Irene Mabel Marsh opened the IM Marsh campus. These organizations together laid the foundations for Liverpool John Moores University, an institution that has grown and flourished and continues to provide opportunities for all. Today, with a vibrant community of 25,000 students from over 100 countries worldwide, 2,500 staff and 250-degree courses, Liverpool John Moores University is one of the largest, most dynamic and forward-thinking universities in the UK.

With more than 44 000 enrolled students, Politecnico Milano is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, architects, and industrial designers. Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) was established on 10 January 1997 and is a leading private university in Malaysia. The campus is built on a 400 hectare (1,000 acres) site strategically located at Bandar Seri Iskandar, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia. The university is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia. UTP offers a wide range of industry-relevant engineering, science, and technology programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  It aims to produce well-rounded graduates with excellent leadership qualities and communication abilities. UTP has produced more than 15,000 graduates and currently has an enrolment of over 1,200 foundation students, 6,000 undergraduates and 1,200 postgraduates from more than 60 countries around the world.

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) was established in March 1991 for the promotion of higher scientific education in the country, especially in the fields of science and technology, by providing a stable and disciplined academic environment together with need-based research, pertinent to industrial requirements. The University was granted its Charter in 1993. An outstanding feature of the University is that while maintaining traditional values of excellence in teaching and research, it challenges conventional practices and creates new ways of developing and delivering courses, pertaining to emerging and cutting-edge disciplines, on most modern lines.

Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) was merged on May 27th, 2000, from the former Wuhan University of Technology (established in 1948), Wuhan Transportation University (established in 1946) and Wuhan Automotive Polytechnic University (established in 1958). WUT is one of the leading Chinese universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and one of the universities in the country’s construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines. In the past 70 years, WUT has fostered over 500,000 engineers and technicians, maintaining itself the largest scale university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education for nurturing talents oriented in the three industrial sectors: building materials, transportation and automobile, and retaining itself an important base of nurturing high-level talents for the three industrial sectors as well as providing significant scientific and technological achievements.
